11 weeks

It has been a long time since I have updated..sorry. We just moved to Austin 2 weeks ago and we rarely get internet connection. Well, Leo sure has porked out, weighing in at 17lbs at 11 weeks old! He is a very sweet baby and still so much easier than I remember Bella being. He does like to be held a good deal but that is okay since I have a plethora of baby carriers. I found that using the Moby Wrap in Texas is a little too hot so I am glad that he likes the pouch sling. He is a great sleeper I think. I do not expect him to go all night without nursing but since he sleeps right next to me, I never fully wake up to nurse him and he only nurses a couple of minutes till he is satisfied. Isabella just LOVES him! She has shown no ounce of jealousy or anger toward him. She loves to talk to him, "hold" him, and yesterday she read a book to him in the car because he was crying. When he stopped crying, she said, " Mommy, I helped Leo stop crying because I read him a book!" I am still trying to aquire friends in Austin. I am very grateful to my wonderful sister in-law who has let me hang out with her a lot. I am wanting to go to a La Leche League meeting to meet people but the last one I tried going to was not at the location I thought and I missed it. I know I will eventually have a solid group of friends, but I guess I am just impatient and missing my "mommy support" back in Provo. I have wanted to link some great articles and blog posts to my blog lately but I wanted to wait till I got a picture and update posted. Well....CIAO!!!!

Holy cow, Leo is getting soooo big! Cute kid. We miss "baby Bella" around here. I miss having you around. Don't worry. You're awesome. As soon as people know you're there they'll be flocking to you!

Wow! You baby at 11 weeks is bigger than mine at a year old! Your milk must be mostly cream...he is really a cutie!

I am glad that things are settling in for you in Texas.

He looks like he is growing well. What a cutie.
Not that I can say I perfectly understand how you feel about your friend situation, but mine sounds similar to yours. When we first moved to Wisconsin I was so anxious about finding new friends. It's hard not to think of what you had and want that back right away. But like you said, it will happen with time. Good luck.

Austin, that's closer than Provo! If I have a spare weekend, I'll have to pop over and say hello. I think the last time I saw ya'll was Dec. 04. Whenever it was, it's been too long.
